Memorial Plaza is a desirable neighborhood of fine quality homes, located just minutes from the Houston Energy Corridor. Memorial Plaza is located at the corner of Memorial Drive and the Sam Houston Tollway. The neighborhood is popular for its good schools, beautiful homes and spacious lawns, as well as its excellent proximity to upscale amenities. Town & Country Village is located just east of the neighborhood on the other side of the Sam Houston Tollway.
Memorial Plaza is a deed-restricted community. The homeowner’s association, the Memorial Plaza Civic Club, provides architectural guidelines, constable patrol, curbside services and maintenance of common areas and private amenities. Residents are eligible to join the Plaza Oaks Club, a private neighborhood club featuring recreational pools, tennis courts, playground, snack bar, basketball court, volleyball court, pavilion, and an outdoor kitchen with grills. Residents of Memorial Plaza have easy access to the Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary. The sanctuary is a 17.5 acre forest preserve, located just south of Memorial Plaza, across Memorial Drive. The sanctuary is open to the public 365 days a year. It is home to a variety of wildlife that will delight bird watchers and nature enthusiasts. Educational programs are offered in a restored log cabin.
Memorial Plaza has upscale shopping and dining very close to home. Town & Country Village and CityCentre Plaza feature dozens of retailers, along with numerous restaurants and service providers. More world-class shopping and dining is only a few miles away at the Memorial City Mall. Excellent medical services are nearby at the Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center.
Public education for Memorial Plaza is provided by the Spring Branch Independent School District, recognized for excellence by the U.S. Department of Education. Elementary age children attend Rummel Creek Elementary School, which is within walking distance of most homes in the neighborhood. Students move on to attend Memorial Middle School. High school students attend Stratford High School, which received a Silver ranking by U.S. News & World Report for academic excellence.
