Cimarron is an established community of about 1,500 homes located in southeast Katy, not far from the Houston Energy Corridor. Cimarron is located in the highly-acclaimed Katy school district, with abundant local amenities and a convenient location!
Cimarron is situated east of the intersection of Katy Freeway and Grand Parkway, allowing easy highway access for commuting residents. The neighborhood is roughly bordered by Kingsland Boulevard to the north, South Peek Road to the west, South Mason Road to the east, and Highland Knolls Drive to the south.
Cimarron is a deed-restricted community with an active homeowner’s association, operated by MASC Properties. The association maintains a community clubhouse, swimming pool, tennis courts and playground. A variety of outdoor recreation is available at George Bush Park which is only minutes away to the east. The neighborhood is patrolled by Harris County Constable Precinct 5.

Public education for Cimarron is provided by the acclaimed Katy Independent School District. Students attend Cimarron Elementary before moving on to West Memorial Junior High School. High School students attend Katy High School. Katy High School is recognized as National Blue Ribbon school! Katy High School is also ranked among best-performing high schools by U.S. News & World Report, which awarded it a Silver ranking.
Most of the homes in Cimarron were constructed during the 1970’s, and feature single-level ranch design. Some have been extensively remodeled.
