Oak Park Trails is a desirable community of about 1,057 homes located in southeast Katy, just a few miles from the Houston Energy Corridor. Oak Park Trails is just two miles south of I-10, four miles north of Westpark Tollway, and one mile east of Grand Parkway. It is located in the highly-acclaimed Katy School District, with commuting access to Downtown Houston and other major employment areas.

The Oak Park Trails neighborhood boundaries are roughly below Highland Knolls Drive to the north, South Mason Road to the west, Park Maple Drive to the east, and Wittman Lane to the south.

Oak Park Trails is a deed-restricted community. The Oak Park Trails Homeowner’s Association is operated by Crest Management. The association maintains a community clubhouse, a large swimming pool, toddler splash pads, lighted tennis courts, playgrounds, picnic areas and a walking trail. Residents have the option to participate in community garage sales, along with a holiday light contest and other social events. Additionally, vast outdoor recreation is available at George Bush Park which is only minutes away to the east.

Residents enjoy numerous local amenities, including dozens of shops and restaurants along Grand Parkway, the Katy Freeway frontage, Kingsland Boulevard and South Mason Road. Within an easy drive, you’ll also find The Crossing at Fry Road, a major retail plaza with a variety of national chains. Nearby medical services include Texas Children’s Hospital West and Houston Methodist West Hospital, located north of the Katy Freeway. Medical and dental clinics are also located at South Peek Road and Highland Knolls Drive.

Public education for Oak Park Trails is provided by the acclaimed Katy Independent School District. Students attend Exley Elementary or Hayes Elementary before moving on to Garland McMeans Junior High School. High School students attend Taylor High School, a National Blue Ribbon School which is also ranked highly by U.S. News & World Report.

Most of the homes in Oak Park Trails were constructed during the 1990’s, and feature contemporary designs with open floor plans and spacious rooms. Home prices currently range from the low $200,000’s to over $300,000.
