In the heart of the Houston Energy Corridor, situated between the neighborhoods of Barker’s Landing to the north, and Briarhills to the south, you’ll find the communities of Fleetwood and Fleetwood West. The Fleetwood area is bordered approximately by Fleetwood Oaks Drive to the north, Addicks-Howell Road to the west, Terry Hershey Park to the South, and Walkwood Drive to the east.

Fleetwood is part of the Memorial Super Neighborhood 16 of Houston, which is comprised of about 30 homeowner’s associations representing dozens of local neighborhoods. There are two separate homeowner associations within Fleetwood itself. “Fleetwood West” is a small community of about 90 patio and single-family homes. The adjacent Fleetwood neighborhood consists of about 450 single-family homes, and is represented by the Fleetwood Property Owners Association. Both Fleetwood associations maintain common areas, enforce deed restrictions and provide security services.

Fleetwood offers convenient commuting to downtown Houston via 1-10 and Memorial Drive. Local amenities include a Starbucks within a few short blocks, along with an array of retailers, services and restaurants along Highway 6. Take Highway 6 south, and you’re only a few minutes away from West Oaks Mall.

Residents of Fleetwood enjoy an abundance of nature, with access to over 26,000 acres of parks and green space, and 50 miles of scenic trails. These trails connect neighborhoods and businesses throughout the Memorial area.

Public education for Fleetwood is provided by the Katy Independent School District. Elementary students attend Maurice L. Wolfe Elementary School. Middle school students attend Memorial Parkway Junior High. High school students attend James E. Taylor High School. U.S. News and World Report awarded a Silver ranking to Taylor High School for its academic programs and student test scores.

Homes in Fleetwood are stately and well-maintained, situated on landscaped lots with mature trees. The majority of homes were constructed in the 1970’s and 1980’s, with a median square footage of 3,260. Home prices currently range from the low $400’s to $600’s, with the upper range varying widely according to home size and amenities.
